I have always cooked a lot throughout my entire adult life. I used to be a chef. I could never stick to the habit of keeping a recipe journal. I often make dishes on the fly, using whatever ingredients I have on hand. I usually end up creating a lot of good recipes that I could document and use again.
It takes practice to learn how to document as you cook. I have learned to be okay with my notebooks and cookbooks having stains on them from the “war zone” of the kitchen—that’s part of the charm, though.
Anyway, right now, I have been pretty consistent with my recipe journal, and it’s exciting. Probably because I have also been working on a food blog. Stay tuned for me to share that too!
