Melodically Challenged is a radio show on a local college radio station where I live. Album 88. I love the station and have been listening to it my entire adult life, since high school. I don’t usually listen to it on Tuesday nights… until now.
Apparently, Melodically Challenged has been airing for years, and I just have been missing it. The show is described as “Our weekly radio show that plays the best in contemporary poetry, traditional and avant-garde poetry, and alternative music revolving around a theme.” That’s a line taken from the website.
Album 88, in general, always provides me with new music. Just yesterday, they played an artist with only two single EPs and no bio at all anywhere. I love that type of stuff so much. I would never have found out about that artist if it weren’t for listening to the radio at that exact time. For the most part, they play new underground music and local music. They also have shows that play specific genres of music. If you love music and poetry, this station will change your life… I promise!
