I saved my friend’s cat’s life yesterday!
We had to stop by their house to give their cats and rabbits water. I had never been there before, but my wife had. They’re actually closer friends with my wife than with me, so I didn’t even know what pets they had.
They have two rabbits and two cats. No one had been home for almost four days, but they all had automatic feeders, so everyone was getting fed.
We were told the cats would probably be shy and that we might not even see them. However, as soon as we opened the front door, a beautiful long-haired white cat with blue eyes greeted us. We could hear a cat meowing constantly upstairs but didn’t think much of it since we weren’t really familiar with the animals.
We hung out in the basement and cleaned a little, and eventually, the meowing stopped. Before we left, I felt like we should check on the cat upstairs. My wife didn’t want me to because we weren’t sure if we should go upstairs since there wasn’t really a reason for us to.
I decided to open a door anyway, and a long-haired tabby came out of a teenager’s bedroom. That little buddy had been stuck in there all alone for almost four days!
Surprisingly, he seemed healthy—he just ate and drank a lot once he was out. We checked on him and played with him 🙂
