That feeling of being pulled out of a dream happened to me last night. The smoke detector went off for no reason. It’s connected to the wall behind our bed. The beeping sound vibrated the wall in both the physical world and my dream world.
The beeping from the alarm made its way into my dream. In my dream, I was asking what that sound was. Then I kept asking the question over and over again until all the walls around me crumbled in due to the alarm. The walls were dark and started to shrink together, like someone closing a black garbage bag.
I woke up to my wife asking, “What is that noise?”
